Within minutes you can reach one of the many small pebble beaches along the waterfront, many of them providing natural shade under tamarind and pine tress, as well as a small bay on the east side, protected from strong winds therefore suited for kids. The large Copacabana beach can be easily reached with children on foot following the local path away from the traffic.
