In complete contrast with the lush vegetation of Plitvice and Krka, the Kornati Islands National Park offers distinctively barren and wild, but equally magnificent and breathtaking landscapes. The Kornati archipelago consists of 140 karst islands, islets and rocks, almost devoid of life. They're set in the bluest corner of the Adriatic, where the clear waters of the sea appear almost ultramarine in contrast with the stony white rocky grounds. Well out of a reach of a phone signal, Kornati Islands offer a true break from the civilization and are best visited by boat. Take a day off, join us for a tour around these spectacular islands and enjoy the unspoiled wilderness of sea and rocks. You'll get to check for yourself what was there so special about Kornati to inspire G. B. Shaw to his famous line: “On the last day of the Creation, God desired to crown his work and thus created the Kornati Islands out of tears, stars and breath.”
This tour is a combination of land and sea. The first stop will be at a small fisherman village of Vodice, 80km north from Trogir where we’ll start our boat adventure. During the ride around many islets, our tour guide will hold a short briefing about the trip ahead of us, explaining what exactly will we be seeing and introducing the main attractions of the National Park Kornati. After the lunch on board (you get to choose between two different menus), accompanied by some live Dalmatian music, we’ll sail into Telaščica Park of nature. During the afternoon, we’ll get to see the highest cliffs on the Adriatic, refresh ourselves in the salt-water Lake Mir and enjoy sunbathing and swimming in the absolutely magnificent scenery of the National Park Kornati. After a fulfilling day, tired but content we will begin our way back to Vodice where our bus will be waiting for us.
