Located in Danilo village at 20 km distance both from Sibenik and Krka National Park, this impressive rustic guest house stands on 4000 m2 of cultivated land, comprising the traditional Dalmatian tavern, wine cellar with rakija tasting room and small souvenir shop and outdoor dining area with snack bar. The house itself was built with great attention paid to the details and materials used: original local stone, collected over decades, bricks, wooden beams and wood furniture make the house look authentic, warm and welcoming. Its slightly elevated position offers spectacular 180° views over the surrounding hills with windmills spinning in the wind. Besides peace and untouched nature, the greatest part of your stay at Beaver’s will without a doubt be – the food. Traditional specialties, great flavors, hearty portions and above all, healthy organic ingredients served in a traditional Dalmatian konoba by the warmth of the open fireplace... will make you want to return again and again.
The accommodation comprises 4 comfortable letting rooms. Some are double bedrooms, others are twin bedded bedrooms with possibility of joining beds. Two rooms have an extra bed in a separate small hall, which makes them ideal for a family stay. All guest rooms have their own entrance, private bathroom with shower and underfloor heating. They’re simply furnished, but spacious and welcoming, with wood floors and furniture and characteristic ceilings with wooden beams. Each room offers beautiful relaxing views over the surrounding Mediterranean countryside and spinning windmills in the distance.
The gastronomy is one of the Beaver’s strong points, perfectly joining nature and food and offering healthy and tasteful local specialties that will leave no one indifferent. At Beaver Bed & Breakfast only locally grown organic foods are prepared, either from their own produce, or bought from other organic local producers: homemade cheese, pancetta, famous Drniš prosciutto, domestic olive oil and warm fresh-baked bread. Typical local dishes are prepared in the traditional way – ispod peke, accompanied by good homemade wine. The meals are served in a tastefully decorated rustic tavern by the warm wood-burning fireplace, often with live traditional music performed. Every season brings different ingredients to the table at the Beaver’s. Besides fresh seasonal vegetables and salads, in springtime there is an abundance of asparagus in the area, therefore be prepared to taste this “wild” herb in some exquisite, refreshing dishes.
At Beaver’s guests can enjoy recreational activities in the games area or explore the surrounding countryside. They can also taste the wine and rakija in the house cellar or learn about rural life and traditional way of food preparing. If you’re an active type of person, you will enjoy walking and hiking to the nearby hills with about 7 km long trails leading from one windmill to another. Watching the windmills sails spin around in the wind is totally relaxing and a true reminder to slow than while you’re on holidays. For history lovers we suggest visit to Rider archaeological site about 5 minute walk from Beaver. Horse-riding is possible at the nearby ranch “Happy Horse” (3 km), and at the about same distance you can visit the famous Sibenik Falcon center and get a fantastic introduction to falconry.

The earliest findings date back to the Neolithic age over seven thousand years ago to the era of the famous “Danilo culture”, rich with fine dark ceramics with engraved geometrical motifs. The most significant findings are the well-preserved ruins of an ancient Roman settlement – Rider, with several monumental buildings among which so far a villa urbana has been explored with its unique bath complex.

Beaver' Rural Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located very close to Sibenik, Skradin and Krka Waterfalls National Park. It's a great place to stay both for those who are after peaceful rural holidays in Inland Dalmatia and those who would still like an occasional swim in the Adriatic, with the closest beach at less than 30 minute drive. The closest entrance to the highway is at 10 km distance.
